Designed for a newly built house in New Polzeath, the brief was to create a kitchen for socialising and cooking. The design flows around the central island unit, which features a NEFF vented hob and lots of functional storage.
Opposite the island unit, a run of tall cabinetry includes carefully designed storage, a butler’s pantry, and a Fisher Paykel fridge-freezer. The kitchen is painted in Treyone Green Grey, and to contrast this rich colour, the worktops are Natural Vancouver Sensa sealed Quartzite with similar tones in the material’s grain.
Adjacent to the sink, a further preparation area incorporates Gold antiqued glass splashbacks, making the most of the natural light in this corner of the room.
The kitchen is part of the open-plan dining area and living room, and a Treyone Bar brings these spaces together. The bar features bi-fold doors, oak glass holders, a wine presentation shelf, drawers, quartzite preparation areas and a Miele wine conditioner.
