This kitchen near Salcombe benefits from plenty of natural light from full-length, bi-fold doors with beautiful views overlooking Baston Creek.
The kitchen also combines a dining area with an oak table that our client had purchased. We picked up on the material and colour of this table in several areas of the kitchen. The extractor fan above the Everhot range cooker features a slatted oak canopy, creating visual interest and a theme with the dining table. A floating oak shelf with concealed task lighting continues the theme. We also used slatted oak to one end of the central island unit – which incorporates a breakfast bar and a mix of drawers and cupboards.
Our client wanted to bring the outside into this impressive space, and with the amount of light available, we used a mixed pallet of blues (Farrow & Ball ‘De Nimes’ & Inchyra Blue) for the cabinetry. Shaker in style, the cabinetry has a wealth of storage. Full-height cupboards to one side conceal oak larders with door-mounted spice racks and a Fisher Paykel fridge freezer. We used Jolie hand-forged, Old Silver handles and drawer pulls throughout.
On either side of the Everhot range cooker is a range of drawers with bespoke oak dividers. The main preparation area features a Shaws Belfast sink and Quooker tap, which sits on an oak shelf that ties in with the kitchen table. A wine conditioner and NEFF oven are also incorporated into the is area.
The ‘Snowy Ibiza’ Silestone worktops have a subtle grain and off-white colour complementing the Porcelain floors.
